Lauryn Hill’s reputation of arriving late to her gigs goes before her – and does disappoint unfortunately. Fans say L-Boogie showed up two hours late for a recent 2016 performance in Chastain Park, GA.
Hill’s show was to begin at 8:00 p.m., but the former Fugees frontwoman didn’t arrive until 10:00 p.m. but didn’t start until 10:20 p.m. The venue says they close for business at 11:00 p.m. sharp, and Ms. Hill’s mic was cut off promptly at 11:00 pm, 40 minutes into her set. Fans were noticeably upset.
The hip-hop artist told her fans she was late because she was “aligning her energy with the time”.

A US radio DJ has recently told a story of Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose being late for one of the band’s concerts. Apparently, this was because he was too busy watching a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
The DJ recently commented on the St Petersburg, Florida show on December 28, 1991. He told Alternative Nation: “Axl’s management said he was watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret Of The Ooze, and that Axl’s attention was 100 per cent on the movie and couldn’t be bothered.”
During 2013, Axl Rose confessed to be late for many past gigs but stated that each delay “in one way or another [was] show-related or having to do with those involved with the show in some fashion”. What?

Madonna called her own fans “bitches” after being booed for arriving onstage a hour late at her Manchester, England show 2015. The pop singer played Manchester Arena on her ‘Rebel Heart’ tour.
Video footage from the show sees Madonna discussing her lateness after eventually appearing on stage.
“I want to thank you all for waiting,” she told fans. “I don’t like to be late by the way and all you bitches who keep complaining about it can shut the f**k up. I’m not back there eating chocolate, filing my nails and getting my extensions done.”
The star mentioned about the delay: “The video crashed… so we had to wait until we could reboot. No selfish diva bitch reason. If you diva bitches want to keep complaining about it, then don’t come to my show.”
